contract manufacturing services. With the takeover of Kalindi Medicare, UML now
has 3 state of the art formulation units offering comprehensive manufacturing
services for Oral Solid Dosages (Tab, Cap, Dry Syrup & Sachet) and Dry
Powder Inj. Incorporated in 2006, UML is growing at a rapid pace with a presence
in Africa, Southeast Asia, and South America and plans to enter Europe.
Uni
Medico Labs (UML) is a pharmaceutical contract manufacturer with a
plant located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, which became operational in 2009. The
firm was started by Mr. Harsh Vaid, who belongs to the Vaid family, which has
been in the pharmaceutical distribution business since 1945 through Uni
Agencies. Beyond Uni Agencies, Mr. Harsh Vaid also manages Uni Agencies
Chemicals Private Limited (UCPL), an API distributor set up in 1982. At UML and
UPCL, Mr. Vaid is supported by his two sons, Mr. Samir Vaid and Siddharth Vaid.
UML manufactures Capsules, Tablets, Injectibles, and Syrup for pharma customers
that include Unichem Laboratories and Cipla Limited.
